Energy efficiency label

Energy efficiency label

This page is to explain Energy efficiency label program for electrical products. It is to mandate the labeling of energy efficiency ratings for products that are generally widespread and consume a significant amount of energy, thereby promoting the production and technological development of high-efficiency products and encouraging consumers to purchase energy-saving products at the source.

This program requires the display of efficiency grade labels (grades 1-5) according to the energy consumption efficiency (usage) of target products, and prohibit the production and sale of products that do not meet the minimum consumption efficiency standards.

Required documents for Energy efficiency label

  • Application form
  • User manual
  • (If applicable) KC Safety certificate

Marking requirement

Energy efficiency label

Manufacturers or importers of energy efficiency regulated products must have the energy consumption efficiency of each model measured by an authorized energy efficiency testing laboratory or conduct self-measurement. Based on the test results, the energy efficiency value and energy efficiency grade must be labeled accordingly.

However, it is permitted to label a lower efficiency value (including higher energy consumption or power consumption) or a lower efficiency grade than the actual test result.
